Chocolate Crepes with Strawberries Recipe
Ingredients
For the Crepes:
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1 ¼ cups (300ml) whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Filling:
- 1 ½ cups (250g) fresh strawberries, sliced
- ½ cup (120ml) whipped cream or chocolate sauce (optional)
- Powdered sugar, for dusting

- Shaved chocolate (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Crepe Batter:
- In a mixing bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, whisking until smooth. Let the batter rest for 20-30 minutes at room temperature.
- Cook the Crepes:
- Heat a non-stick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or oil.
- Pour about ¼ cup of batter into the pan, swirling to coat the surface evenly.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes until the edges start to lift and the bottom is set. Flip and cook for another 30 seconds. Transfer to a plate. Repeat with the remaining batter.
- Assemble the Crepes:
- Place a crepe on a plate. Add a few slices of strawberries in the center and drizzle with whipped cream or chocolate sauce if desired. Fold or roll the crepe.
- Repeat with the remaining crepes.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Dust the crepes with powdered sugar. Garnish with fresh mint leaves or shaved chocolate. Serve immediately.
