Cajun Shrimp and Steak Alfredo Pasta Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Steak and Shrimp:
- 8 oz ribeye steak, sliced into thin strips
- 8 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
For the Alfredo Sauce:
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning (optional for more spice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Pasta:
- 12 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
- 1 tbsp salt (for boiling water)
Garnish:
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Steak:
- Season steak strips with half of the Cajun seasoning.
- Heat 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak strips for 2-3 minutes per side until browned but still tender. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the Shrimp:
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining 1 tbsp butter.
- Toss the shrimp with the remaining Cajun seasoning and sauté for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- Make the Alfredo Sauce:
- In the same skillet, melt 3 tbsp butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in heavy cream, stirring constantly, and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Combine Everything:
- Add the cooked pasta to the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
- Gently fold in the cooked steak and shrimp, ensuring everything is heated through.
- Serve:
- Plate the pasta and garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese.
