Banana Brownies Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
- For the Brownie Layer:
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/3 cup (40g) cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- For the Banana Layer:
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup (60ml) vegetable oil or melted butter
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Preheat and Prepare:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×9-inch (23×23 cm) baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Make the Brownie Layer:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until combined.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
- Sift in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just combined, avoiding overmixing.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Make the Banana Layer:
- In another bowl, mix the mashed bananas, sugar, oil (or melted butter), egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
