Big Mac French Toast
Ingredients:
For the French Toast:
- 4 slices of bread (preferably brioche or thick-cut)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter
For the Big Mac Filling:
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
- 4 pickle slices
For the Big Mac Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Big Mac Sauce:
- In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika until well combined. Set aside.
2. Prepare the French Toast:
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well-coated.
3. Cook the French Toast:
- Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt the butter.
- Cook the dipped bread slices until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from heat and set aside.
4. Cook the Beef Patties:
- Divide the ground beef into 2 equal portions and shape them into patties.
- Season both sides of the patties with salt and pepper.
- In the same skillet or griddle, cook the beef patties over medium-high heat until they reach desired doneness, about 3-4 minutes per side. Top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese during the last minute of cooking, allowing the cheese to melt.
5. Assemble the Big Mac French Toast:
- Spread a generous amount of Big Mac sauce on one side of each French toast slice.
- Place a beef patty with melted cheese on top of two of the French toast slices.
- Add shredded lettuce and pickle slices on top of the beef patties.
- Place the remaining French toast slices on top to complete the sandwich.
6. Serve:
- Cut each sandwich in half, if desired, and serve immediately with extra Big Mac sauce on the side for dipping.
