Loaded Nachos Recipe
Loaded nachos are perfect for game nights, parties, or a fun dinner. They’re topped with seasoned meat, cheese, and lots of delicious toppings. Here’s a quick recipe you can customize to your liking!
Ingredients
For the Nachos:
- 1 bag (10-12 oz) tortilla chips
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (or ground turkey)
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
Optional Toppings:
- 1/2 cup black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1/2 cup corn kernels
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives
- 1/4 cup pickled jalapeños
- 2-3 green onions, sliced
- 1 large tomato, diced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- For Serving:
- Sour cream
- Guacamole
- Salsa
- Hot sauce (optional)
- Instructions
- Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
- Prepare the Meat
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
- Add diced onion and garlic, and cook until the onion is soft.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the mixture thickens.
- Assemble the Nachos
- Spread the tortilla chips evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
- Spoon the seasoned meat over the chips.
- Add black beans, corn, olives, and jalapeños, if using.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously over the toppings.
- Bake the Nachos
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Add Fresh Toppings
- Remove the nachos from the oven and top them with diced tomatoes, green onions, and cilantro.
- Serve
- Serve immediately with bowls of sour cream, guacamole, and salsa on the side. Add hot sauce if you like extra heat!
