Orange Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Cake:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice (about 2-3 oranges)
- Zest of 2 oranges
- 3 large eggs

Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour an 8-inch or 9-inch round cake pan.
2. Prepare the Dry Ingredients:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
3. Mix Wet Ingredients:
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the orange zest and vanilla extract.
4. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the fresh orange juice, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

- In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and fresh orange juice until smooth. Add more orange juice if the glaze is too thick.

- Once the cake is completely cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top, allowing it to drip down the sides.
