Homemade Chocolate Frosty Mix for Canning
This mix will allow you to prepare a Frosty-style drink anytime.
Ingredients (For Dry Mix)
- 2 cups dry milk powder
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla bean powder (optional)
Instructions for Canning the Mix
- Sterilize jars – Wash and dry Mason jars, then place them in a 200°F (93°C) oven for 10 minutes.
- Mix ingredients – In a large bowl, whisk together all dry ingredients.
- Fill jars – Scoop the mix into sterilized jars, leaving about ½ inch of space.
- Seal jars – Wipe the rims, place lids on top, and store in a cool, dry place.
How to Make a Frosty from the Mix
- 1 cup Frosty mix
- 1 cup cold milk
- 2 cups crushed ice
Blend until thick and creamy. Serve immediately.
