Strawberry Cream Cheese Delight
(A No-Pretzel Alternative to Strawberry Pretzel Dessert)
Ingredients:
Crust:
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup melted butter
Cream Cheese Layer:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
Strawberry Layer:
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 (3 oz) box strawberry gelatin (Jell-O)
- 1 cup boiling water
- ½ cup cold water
Instructions:
- Prepare the crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
- Press into the bottom of a 9×9-inch dish.
- Bake for 8 minutes, then cool completely.
- Make the cream cheese layer:
- Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Fold in the whipped topping.
- Spread evenly over the cooled crust and refrigerate.
- Prepare the strawberry layer:
- Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in 1 cup boiling water.
